As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Andy Marcoccia has benefited from a multitude of diverse experiences in working with people of all ages and backgrounds. Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Andy started his career as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist at the Institute of Professional Practice, one of the Northeast’s leading mental health service providers. In that role, he created and implemented behavioral plans to instill appropriate coping mechanisms and prepare students for life after high school. Simultaneously, Andy pursued and achieved his Master’s degree full-time, where he specialized in a dual track of both Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Counseling. From there, Andy worked as a Clinical Case Manager in the private sector before being rapidly promoted to a full-time Clinician. Across his experiences, Andy served children and adolescent males and implored a multitude of therapeutic modalities.
Andy’s extensive background within the field serves as a reflection of his lifelong commitment to continued learning and personal development. As such, he once again returned to school where he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Psychology. These diverse and extensive experiences have provided Andy with a wide range of tools and skills to draw from when fostering relationships with his clients and effectively meeting their individual needs.
