Michael graduated with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University. He is a Chi Sigma Iota member, possesses his LPC-A, and has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Lehigh University. Michael is proficient in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and has begun training in dialectical behavioral therapy.
Michael started his professional career in real estate, responsible for hiring, training, office management, and sales. In addition, Michael served as an executive recruiter for the financial service industry. As Michael progressed in his career, he saw an opportunity to impact the lives of those impacted by substance use and earned a certificate in chemical dependency. This led to work in clinical settings in New York, both in outpatient and inpatient settings. Michael has led groups for both men and women of all ages and most recently held a two-year internship at Causeway Collaborative before being hired full-time.
Michael is an avid New York Sports fan and is passionate about wellness. He subscribes to the belief that as physical health improves, so does mental health. Michael applies this principle daily in both his personal and professional life. He and his wife have two black labs and are both avid dog lovers.
