Beatrice McMullen

Licensed Marital and Family Therapist-Associate

Beatrice is a Family Therapist at Causeway Collaborative. Originally from Westchester County, she graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, followed by three years teaching English in Spain, five years working in public relations and an ongoing six year side-hustle of teaching yoga. Her diverse work background gave her the life experience she needed to ultimately return to the mental health field and complete her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at Fairfield University.

Because of her own experience re-directing her career and her life, Beatrice is well positioned to be a solid support to the families at Causeway. She knows firsthand what it’s like to not know what’s next as well as the importance of having goals regardless. Beatrice has gained invaluable clinical experience at private practices and non-profit mental health organizations where she worked with families, couples, parents and individuals ranging from 17 to 75+ years old.

Beatrice has been trained as a structural family therapist, meaning she sees problems as systemic and relational, not as personal flaws to be eradicated. She understands the value, and sometimes the frustration, that comes from the relationships in our lives. Beatrice loves working with families to find that balance between autonomy and connection and is passionate about seeing clients harness their strengths and build on what IS working for them.
