Justin Carotti

LCSW

Justin Carotti is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Certified School Social Worker (CT) and is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1). Originally from Fairfield County, Justin graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Justin later returned to Connecticut to further his education at the University of Connecticut, and received his Master’s in Social Work while graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Justin’s career began as a school social worker, at both public and private high schools in North Carolina and Connecticut. His experience working in school systems showed him first hand the impact that schools and an achievement culture have on student’s mental health, academic success and future outlook and how those factor contribute to the challenges emerging adults face. Justin is also adept at addressing the challenges faced by students who recognize the importance of academic achievement, but struggle with the emotional, mental or social burdens that accompany maturation.

Justin has extensive experience as a practitioner of Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy, stemming from work as a case manager, clinician, and supervisor at Connecticut Junior Republic’s judicially referred four-month residential treatment facility. There, Justin combined his passion for assisting adolescents in their personal development with clinical interventions that addressed the challenges standing in the way: substance abuse, challenging family dynamics, and oppositionality, just to name a few.

Justin brings an invaluable range of experiences in different milieus to the Causeway Collaborative team, experiences defined by an unwavering passion, a commitment to excellence in his work, and dedication to those he serves.
