Justin Carotti is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified School Social Worker. Originally from Fairfield County, Justin graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Justin later returned to Connecticut to further his education at the University of Connecticut, and received his Master’s in Social Work while graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Justin’s career began as a school social worker, at both public and private high schools in North Carolina and Connecticut. His experience in the school system showed him first hand the pressures and demands schools can place on their students, and the pitfalls teens often encounter on their way to adulthood. Justin is also adept at addressing the challenges faced by students who recognize the importance of academic achievement, but struggle with the emotional, mental or social burdens that accompany maturation.
Justin has extensive experience as a practitioner of Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy, stemming from work as a case manager, clinician, and supervisor at Connecticut Junior Republic’s judicially referred four-month residential treatment facility. There, Justin combined his passion for assisting adolescents in their personal development with clinical interventions that addressed the challenges standing in the way: substance abuse, unhealthy family dynamics, and delinquency, just to name a few.
Justin brings an invaluable range of experiences in different milieus to the Causeway Collaborative team, experiences defined by an unwavering passion for his work and dedication to those he serves.
