John is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor (LPC, NCC). His education and experience in substance abuse and mental health facilities as well as his commitment to the personal growth of young men offers an integrated approach unique to each client and family.

Licensed Marital and Family Therapist-Associate
Heather combines her extensive clinical training and sharp intuitive skills to provide a warm, dynamic, and heart-led approach to family therapy. She is passionate about supporting parents and families to shift unhelpful, ingrained roles and patterns that are stunting their collective growth into ones that support each individual family member and the entire family's evolution.

Beatrice has her Associate License in Marriage and Family Therapy. She loves working with families to identify the patterns that are keeping them stuck and supporting them in their journey of making lasting change.

Licensed Marital and Family Therapist
Samantha, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Causeway Collaborative, specializes in family therapy, emphasizing family systems for adolescent and young adult mental health. Certified in Attachment Based Family Therapy, she also addresses trauma and LGBTQ+ issues. Featured in national media, including CBS Evening News and Yahoo!Life.

Louis Fournier

Graduate Level Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Louis has 16+ years experience working in various psychiatric in-patient milieus where he helped clients to navigate substance abuse and mental health concerns. Originally from Shelton, CT, Louis obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology attending Southern Connecticut State University where he later returned and is pursuing his Masters of science in counseling. Lou believes that our growing potential can be realized in each present moment, when we take the time to look inward and reflect.

Derio Rivera

Working in both educational and mental health facilities, Derio, LPC, brings an array of experiences working with diverse populations. He is constantly exploring new ways to find interventions to guide clients and their families in improving their lives.

Anthony Rinaldi, LPC-A, is a mental health clinician and a Futures Coach at Causeway Collaborative. His extensive history of working with adolescents and emerging adults is rooted in his compassion and desire to empower young men to reach their full potential.

Chris is a Licensed Master of Social Work and Therapeutic Mentor (LMSW) who knows how crucial it is to have a positive role model in your life. His past experiences as a mental health worker has inspired him to be a guide for young men trying to find a healthy path to adulthood and fulfillment.

Licensed Master of Social Work
Tyler’s background as a high school educator and experiences in residential settings provided him with a unique foundation in working with a diverse population of young men. Tyler, LMSW, works for the little victories because he knows confidence is built brick by brick. He loves watching guys light up when they succeed and realize what they're truly capable of.

Michael Mello is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW). Originally from Farmington, CT, Michael graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health. Michael then pursued his Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Connecticut where he gained experience working in both a behavioral school and clinical settings.

As Director and Founder of Causeway Collaborative, Vince leads and provides direct service for all three specialized teams with the goal of helping students, young professionals, and those who are struggling to plan for the future and to realize their potential.

Gina Benevento, CFO (Chief Financial Officer)

Business Manager
With over 15 years of business experience, Gina has partnered with husband Vince over the last decade to make Causeway a destination for struggling young men to engage in mental health services—and discover their passion for life. As a mom to two young boys, Gina is driven by the opportunity to provide distressed moms with hope, knowing their sons are taking the first step in a life-changing journey.

Justin Carotti, COO (Chief Operating Officer)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
Justin Carotti is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and a Certified School Social Worker (CT). Originally from Newtown, CT, Justin graduated from the University of North Carolina - Wilmington with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Justin later returned to Connecticut to further his education at the University of Connecticut, and received his Master’s in Social Work while graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Dr. Nicole O’Brien, CCO (Chief Clinical Officer)

As Director of Family Therapy, Nicole brings her 15 years of experience as a professor of family therapy and licensed marital and family therapist to lead the family therapy program at Causeway. She came into the profession because she truly believes in people's capacities to evolve through the difficult transitions in their lives and create healthier relationships with one another.
